A work visa (Emirates ID) in the UAE for company employees
— in order to officially employ someone, the company must first obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) and then issue the employee a residence visa, which includes the Emirates ID.
The procedure for obtaining a work visa depends on the place of registration of the company

International passport of the employee (valid for at least 6 months)

Legalized diploma of the employee. UAE law requires a legalized diploma to obtain a visa for a qualified position. It is possible to apply for a work visa without a diploma, but this will limit the employee to a non-qualified position. (If needed, we can assist with the diploma legalization process.)

Original Emirates ID of one of the company's founders or its general director, as listed on the company's Establishment Card.

If an employee has a higher education diploma and you want to apply for a qualified position, then you need to legalize (certify and translate) the diploma.

Day 1: Obtaining a work permit
Registration is carried out remotely.
Physical presence of the founders or employee is not required.

Day 4: Entry Permit Application
The entry permit is a mandatory first step toward obtaining a residency visa. This requirement applies whether the future employee is outside or already inside the UAE. The physical presence of the company founders or the employee is not required for this stage.
Processing takes 3 business days.

Day 7: Personal visit for medical examination & biometrics
You must now be physically present in the UAE to complete the mandatory medical examination and biometric fingerprinting. If you are outside the country, you must enter for this purpose.
Processing takes up to 5 business days.
Physical presence is required.
From the moment of the beginning of this procedure and until obtaining a resident visa, you cannot leave the UAE.

Day 12: Obtaining a resident visa
After this point, you can leave the UAE if necessary.

Your physical presence is not required to receive your Emirates ID. We will collect the original document on your behalf and arrange for it to be delivered to you.
