Residence visa (Emirates ID) in the UAE for family members (Dependent visa)
— If a family member has a UAE Emirates ID, they have the right to sponsor visas for their relatives. The sponsored visa's validity will match the duration of the sponsor's visa.
Family members include:
Spouse
(husband or wife)
Sons under
18 years of age
Unmarried daughters regardless of age
Parents
List of required documents:
The original Emirates sponsor ID.

Salary certificate / employment contract if the sponsor has a work visa or company documents if the sponsor has a company owner visa.

A relative's passport (valid for at least 6 months).

Photo of a relative (see photo requirements).

Proof of kinship: birth or marriage certificate (must be properly legalized).


Notarized consent from the child’s father to issue an Emirates ID in the UAE, if the sponsor is the child’s mother.
The original Emirates sponsor ID.

Day 1: Entry Permit Application
The entry permit is a mandatory stage for obtaining a residence visa, regardless of whether your relatives are outside or inside the UAE.
This step is handled remotely.
Processing takes 3 business days.

Day 4: Enter the UAE for Medical Examination & Fingerprinting
At this stage, the applicant must be physically present in the UAE to complete the mandatory medical examination and fingerprinting.
Processing takes 5 business days.
Personal presence of the applicant is required.
The applicant must remain in the UAE from this point until the residence visa is issued.

Day 9: Obtaining a resident visa
After this point, you can leave the UAE if necessary.

The applicant's personal presence is not required for this step. We will collect the Emirates ID on your behalf and arrange for it to be delivered to you.
*Business days are counted. The deadlines are indicative and based on the practice of processing documents for previous clients. The timing may vary depending on the actions of government agencies.
Can be completed without the applicant's presence.
Day 12: Receiving the Emirates ID
This step is handled remotely.
